Rest & Relaxation
There are basically two types of massage.
One is a wellness or rest and relaxation massage, catering to clients who are looking to reduce physical and emotional stress, but do not have any repetitive use issues or any deep muscle tension problems. For this type of massage we usually use Massage oil to create a slow, gentle, gliding action that feels good, but is not intended for deep pressure or trigger point therapy.
The second type of Massage, we call therapeutic which also includes deep, slow, gliding strokes to begin, but then gets into deeper muscle work in order to relieve deep muscle tension that people can experience from work and or exercise.
When performing either type of massage, I prefer a minimum of 90 minutes. I do not want to keep one eye on the client’s body part and the other eye on the clock. I go slow and move effectively and take as much time as necessary to give the client the fullest, possible best experience,
